Trailer 1: Rockstar reveals Grand Theft Auto VI

The first trailer makes it official: Grand Theft Auto VI is set in Vice City, in the state of Leonida – back then still slated for 2025.

On December 4, 2023, Rockstar Games dropped the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI. It marks the long-awaited return to Vice City – this time as part of the fictional US state of Leonida.

What the trailer confirmed

• Setting: Vice City and the state of Leonida
• A female lead: Lucia (second protagonist Jason was officially introduced later)
• Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
• Release window at the time: 2025 (since delayed twice, see below)

The soundtrack: "Love Is a Long Road" by Tom Petty.

Update: The release was later pushed to May 26, 2026, and then to November 19, 2026.
