Set up in three steps
- Click "Add to Discord" and pick your server (you need the Manage Server permission).
- Run /setup channels, choose the language (English, German or both) and channels for news, patches and/or status – plus optional ping roles.
- Done. Check with /setup show, stop anytime with /setup off – kicking the bot also deletes your server's settings.
Commands
/setup channels- Choose channels and ping roles (Manage Server).
/setup channels language:- English, German or both (with both: news_de / patches_de for the German channels).
/setup show- Show the current setup.
/setup off- Stop all posts on this server.
/localpass- Show a Local Pass (yours or another member's public pass).
/rank- Show rank and points.
English, German or both
Pick the language per server with the language option of /setup channels:
- 🇬🇧 English – English posts linking to vicelocals.com.
- 🇩🇪 German – German posts linking to vicelocals.de.
- 🌐 Both – set separate channels: news + patches for English, news_de + patches_de for German. The status stays one message: English plus a short German line.
Fair and private
The bot only stores your server ID, the channels and roles you pick, and the ID of its own status message. It ignores messages and member events on your server – no moderation, no logging, and roles on your server never affect ranks on Vice Locals. Unofficial fan project – not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two.

How do I add a GTA 6 news bot to my Discord server?
Click “Add to Discord” above and pick your server (you need the Manage Server permission). Then run /setup channels and choose the channels for news, patch notes and/or status. /setup show shows your setup, /setup off stops all posts.
Does the bot post GTA 6 patch notes?
Yes. Besides GTA 6 news it posts patch notes and update summaries with the source to the channel you choose – optionally with a ping for a role of your choice.
Is the Vice Locals Discord bot free?
Yes, the bot is completely free. It only asks for minimal permissions: View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files and Read Message History.
Does the bot show PSN, Xbox and Rockstar server status?
Yes. It keeps one permanent message in your status channel that updates itself: PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Rockstar services by region – the same data as our live status page.
Is there a German version of the bot?
Yes. With the language option of /setup channels you choose English (links to vicelocals.com), German (links to vicelocals.de) or both, with separate channels for English and German posts.
What does /localpass do?
/localpass shows your Local Pass card – rank and points from vicelocals.com – in any server where the bot is. It only reads, it never changes anything.
