Launch checklist: be ready for November 19

Console, storage, preload, edition: the key things to sort out before launch – no rumors.
1. Pick your platform
GTA VI is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has not been officially announced, and PS4 and Xbox One aren't supported.
2. Choose your edition
Standard or Ultimate? Our guide Editions & pre-orders lists every difference. The Vintage Vice City Pack is included with every purchase made by November 20, 2026.
3. Clear some storage
As far as we know, Rockstar hasn't officially stated the download size yet. Leave plenty of room and check the store shortly before the preload.
4. Use the preload
Digital buyers can preload from November 12, 2026. Heads-up: the physical version contains a download code instead of a disc – so you'll be downloading either way.
5. Keep an eye on the clock
Our countdown on the front page runs to November 19, 00:00 your local time.
6. Dodge spoilers
After launch: mute social media, stay out of comment sections – and read the comments under our news with caution.
